About Me

I have always interested in the human mind and body and how they work together.  After many years practicing yoga I took the step to become a yoga teacher, training initially in Brighton and then further afield in Morocco and India.   My interest in eastern medicine led me to acupuncture initially as a patient and this motivated me to qualify as an acupuncturist.  In addition to general acupuncture, I am also qualified in facial acupuncture as a cosmetic as well as rejuvenating treatment and in non-penetrative Japanese acupuncture

Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered

Do you help treat terminal or chronic illness?

Acupuncture works as an adjunct to Western medicine and not as a replacement.  Acupuncture can help ease some symptoms associated with terminal or chronic illness.

How should I prepare for my first treatment?

Please complete the health questionnaire and the COVID-19 form sent to you via email before you arrive.  Please wear loose clothing and no make-up.  If you can arrive as close as possible to your appointment time and please wait in your car in the driveway and I will come and collect you.

What should I expect from my first session?

At the beginning of your treatment I will take your full medical history and ask you to lie on the couch while I take your pulses. Its best to wear loose, comfortable clothing as I may ask you to remove some items for the treatment - particularly to have access to the lower parts of your legs and arms and abdomen. You will feel the needles but they should not hurt.  Afterwards I will ask you to drink water and maybe have a rest.
